A fiction novel with Buddhist ideals/teachings at it’s core

I am very interesting in learning more about Buddhist teachings, world views, and approaches to life. I have taken a few classes at school about it, and would like to read more fiction novels centered around Buddhist teaching. Also, I have read Siddhartha by Hesse.
