Novels Like Fincher’s New Film “The Killer”

I just finished watching The Killer on Netflix and loved it.

I was fascinated by all the prep work involved in killing someone without being caught. I was even interested in how bored the hit man seemed to be while waiting for his target.

Can anyone suggest some good novels that really get into the ins and outs of a hit man’s job?
