I’m reading this book now and it’s mild-moderately entertaining but I’m only 241 pages into this 1490 page behemoth. Is it worth continuing to read this to the end?
100 percent yes. Also, the audiobook is great if that’s an alternative for you. I got it from the library.

I find some of the characters and time periods more interesting than others. Are you still in the part that focuses on the missionaries?

I read Hawaii some years ago at the same time I was looking into colleges to apply to. I ended up going to the University of Hawaii. Michener’s novel gives an accurate depiction of the history and culture of Hawaii.

I’ve read about a dozen Michener books, and this is one of my favorites.

I liked it but generally don’t think you should persist with something you aren’t enjoying.
