falling by Elizabeth Jane Howard. half the book is the predator’s first-person account of his campaign, and the other half is third-person narration of his victim’s pov. it’s a long book with very incremental detail, but it is so so good. it’s based on her actual experience, which makes it all the more impressive to me that she got so thoroughly inside the skin of a psychopath.
