Just lost my fiancé. Don't want self help books but I'd like to read something fiction what I can relate to. Maybe losing their partner and the coming days. Sounds a bit morbid maybe but I think it might help. If it has a nice ending even better!

A little left field, but The Chosen by Elizabeth Lowry is about Thomas Hardy grieving his wife and is beautifully written. I read it after losing my dad.
I’m so sorry for your loss.
Joan Didion: Year of Magical Thinking. It is a memoir so not self-help. Also, consider Geraldine Brooks Memorial Days
P.S. I love you – Cecelia Ahren
I haven’t read the book, but I’ve watched the Netflix series adaptation, and this is what One Day by David Nicholls deals with in it’s latter half. The first half is the story of how they met, so not sure if that’d be too much to read right now or not
Moonlight Shadow by Banana Yoshimoto. It’s usually included in copies of her book Kitchen. I’m sorry for your loss.
Ordinary Grace by William Kent Krueger
