I’m looking for books along the lines of I Who Have Never Known Men by Jacqueline Harpman, I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream, and A Short Stay in Hell.
These books all share a similar “feeling” to me, something quite desolate but human.
I’d love to find more stories/novels that feel like this to you! Thanks in advance!

Commenting so I can reference back to this if anyone else has suggestions because I’ve been looking for the same thing! The closest thing I have to a suggestion (I don’t know if it’s a good one) is The Memory Police by Yoko Ogawa.
