Hi, I’m finishing up on reading The End of Men by Christina Sweeney-Baird. It’s an interesting read about 90% of men being wiped out by a virus. It got me wondering about a role reversal where women are the ones to die/disappear instead.

Crucially, I really want to read a book that explores masculinity and sexuality in the absence of women. No one can convince me that all men would remain straight in this scenario. Thanks to anyone who makes suggestions!

Lois McMaste Bujold has a fun one from ages ago where a man from a men-only planet visits a space station looking to refresh his society’s stocks of ova. Meets women! They aren’t monsters!

    2. *The Book of Unnamed Midwife* by Meg Elison is a dystopia where a virus kills most women and makes childbirth fatal. It’s from the perspective of a surviving woman.
