      I don’t believe Trump goes around banning children’s books in between making executive orders and dealing with the hostage situation. The school board is the one doing the banning

      Any and all books related to the civil rights movement and slavery are being removed from libraries in DoD schools. Literally attempting to erase history, including the history of units like the 101st Airborne, which aided in the desegregation of a high school in Little Rock, Arkansas.

      I’m sure it was just a blanket ban on anything to do with the word “acceptance,” but I can’t help but think of a world where having *freckles* is too diverse. Bringing back those anti-Irish policies.

      Fuck Trump and fuck book bans. But why does this article read like a press release for the book?

      And the only source cited is a Pen America IG post. Is this really where journalism is right now?
