I have been looking for book recommendations on booktok, and it's mostly books with romance in it. I'm having a hard time finding new books to read since it's hard to tell if a book has mainly romance or not. To be completely honest, I've never been a huge fan of the "romance" plot, and I'm not really interested in reading any books containing that genre (although subplots are fine). I was hoping someone had some fantasy or fiction book recommendations with little to no romance, since I'm not getting any further with this.
It would be great if you include a short description of the book alongside the title and author.

Not fantasy but **Starter Villain** is the most entertaining book I’ve read recently. It’s a spoof of the early James Bond movies. A substitute teacher inherits his estranged uncle’s villainy which comes complete with a secret volcanic lair.
