Shogun is probably the best book I’ve ever read in my life. It’s definitely the favorite book of mine, anyway I now am in search for a book of equally good level of storytelling. Mariko/Thorne love story is the best love story I’ve read in fiction and Toranaga Yoshi is well….. Toranaga Yoshi.
What book you guys think have similar levels of well written characters like Mariko, Toranaga and has equally grasping/page turning story(extra points if it has equally well written romance. I love romance)

Less of a focus on the romance but it is there, Azincourt by Bernard Cornwell.
