I have been reading no sleep stories based off of “Emergency Alert” systems A LOT and I am looking for a book that can give me more. I want to read about the protagonist/antagonist/ANYTHING going through the beginnings of an apocalypse (zombie, virus, nuclear, idc) and following through to post apocalypse life.
I might be wishing for too much for a book like this. But seeing the normal life of a character to the absolute destruction of humanity has in-captivated me.
Also, if romance is involved TELL ME. I love a good romance.

I read swan song by Robert McCammon in high school and it still sticks with me to this day. It’s not high brow literature but it was a fun read. The book jumps right in immediately after a nuclear apocalypse and goes from there.
Check out the “Survivalist Series” by A. American it is my absolute favorite.
