Georgette Heyer – Has a large back catalogue, Arabella, Venetia and The Grand Sophy are good places to start.

Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell by Susanna Clarke is my current obsession. It’s like if Jane Austen wrote an enormous fantasy book about magicians and fairies—the style and language is SO historically accurate and it’s super witty and funny. And one of the magicians is head-over-heels for his wife (so cute). It takes place 1806-1817, and it’s the perfect mix of breathtaking magic and those quintessential Regency vibes.
