I recently started prioritizing my time and reading again. I am looking for new authors and/or books to read. I really really love Stephen King, James Patterson, and John Grisham. I love sci-fi, mystery, horror, fantasy, mythology, and historical fiction. I will read non fiction as well if it interests me, such as: animals, science, and historical events like advancements, disasters, or war.
Please suggest: new authors, books from these authors, books that you personally couldn't put down, a book that changed you forever, a book you'll never read again, or even your favorite.
If you want to write a synopsis, or share a passage that you enjoy, you are more than welcome to. I am just so happy for any suggestions, and to be part of a community that shares the same interest. Thank you for any!

Anything by Walter Moers. He is a German fantasy author and wrote a bunch of books set on the imaginary continent of Zamonia. These include:
The 13 1/2 lives of captain bluebear
The alchemaster’s apprentice
The city of dreaming books
Check out Michael Creighton. Several books were made into movies. Andromeda Strain, The Great Train Robbery, Coma.
I really enjoyed Kindred by Octavia Butler.
If you haven’t already read it, Snow Crash by Neal Stephenson is such a fun read! The ending feels like an action movie as you’re reading it.
Ready Player One by Ernest Cline is also a really fun read.
