Deeply Romantic, Not Stupid

I'm in the mood for something that really makes me emotional, something romantic, but I dislike predictable cookie cutter romance novels, do not like Colleen Hoover style at all, etc. Tbh I prefer gay/lesbian/bi romance but I can also get into m/f if it's unique, quirky and good. I like a big range of books but some faves that come to mind are Fried Green Tomatoes, The Night Circus, Countries of Origin, Red White & Royal Blue, and Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles. Any suggestions?
