Guys can you give me books that center around true and genuine friendships? The kind that can make you hopeful about people.
I have seen and read so many books about romantic relationships but those that are not are equally as important in my opinion.

The [Fortress series](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/57017.Fortress_in_the_Eye_of_Time) by C. J. Cherryh is all about friendship between men. It’s set in a low tech medieval fantasy world and the author has a very slow paced writing style focused more on the characters than things happening in the story. There is romance, but it doesn’t take away from the friendship at all.
