this is definitely a shot in the dark but can anyone suggest any romance novels (preferably with a female protagonist) that use the unhinged woman trope? i dont mean like “sassy independent quirky woman” but more like ottessa moshfegh’s my year of rest and relaxation or chelsea g summer’s a certain hunger. maybe even the bell jar.
