What’s your favorite James Baldwin book that’s not heavy on religious themes?

I’ve just finished Go Tell it on the Mountain as my first by him. For the most part I enjoyed the writing but could not connect fully because of the religious nature of the book. For some reason my mind checks out and I can’t fully follow those parts.
