Help me find a book for my mom?

Hi, so I’ve (26M) recently started to read, and it’s become a hobby. I wasn’t a bookworm or anything, but enjoyed reading 1984, TKAM and F451 in high school. I’ve read some history and now getting through book one of LOTR.

My dear mother (she’s turning 60) isn’t an avid reader either. But, I feel like if she has the right material, she’d really appreciate it. She’s a SAHM, loves to cook and is a hard worker in general. She is quite culturally sound, used to paint art and might appreciate some (later) classic literature or themes. I don’t think she’d like fiction/fantasy, but maybe something that would relate to her on some personal level. We’re Middle Eastern, so she does like watching Lebanese soap operas.

I was considering Anne of Green Gables? It seems like a peaceful book, growing up on a farm and all. I’ve never read it. Any suggestions would go a long way and be great. I can answer some questions to help narrow down! Thank you!
