Need book recommendations to diversify my taste

I have recently started reading books, but all that I seem to be able to read are thrillers/mysteries like The God of the Woods and The Silent Patient. I feel like I don't have much literary depth because when I started reading books like The God of Small Things by Arundhati Roy, it felt slow and boring. Could you recommend books that will help me slowly branch out into classics, novels, and other genres?
