The *Finlay Donovan* series by Elle Cosimano, especially the first one. It’s about a romance-mystery author whose ex-husband cheated on her and is now engaged to their real estate agent. The falling apart of their relationship is central to the rest of the plot, which also involves mistaken murder-for-hire. It’s fun.
*Here I Am* by Jonathan Safran Foer is about a couple whose marriage is falling apart.
There’s an emotional subplot about cheating in *My Grandmother Asked Me to Tell You She’s Sorry* by Fredrik Backman, but it’s not the main story.

Fay Weldon is one of the best at hell hath no fury revenge arcs after excruciating adultery. Life and Loves of a She Devil is her best, made into a terrible movie. Weldon is not everyone’s cup of tea, but I think she’s a brilliant observer of not so sympathetic characters and she punishes them in a satisfying manner.
