I really appreciate this sub, and r/literature too.
Look, despite my occasional trolling – always meant to be frivolous and I get how it can be irritating – I'm on these two subs daily, and there is hardly a whiff of politics.
The closest we get is someone posting an agenda-driven article.
I scroll r/all once in a while. Recently it's been ALL politics, no dumb memes, no random in-jokes, no PolandBall, etc… Just all hate and anger and "I'm right and you're wrong".
The heart of the internet my ass.
It feels like reddit has lost its soul.
But here (and r/literature and I'm sure on plenty of other subs that I don't visit), although there are some "look how smart I am" posts, we're keeping it on point and about what we love:)

I know this is not the point, but I’m wondering if you’d be candid about why you do any trolling at all, especially if you know it’s irritating?
