My nearly 10-year-old kiddo loves middle age books about girls on adventures that have a sense of fun and are funny. Think Goonies in book form with more girls. Nothing too heavy or serious. I have Tamora Pierce on hold because I see her books are core memories for lots of readers, and am looking for something a little more light-hearted as well. Also open to non-fantasy – they love puzzling things out. Suggestions?
