Books recommendation based of what I’ve read and what I didn’t finish

Hey guys, I’ve followed a couple recommendations off Reddit for books and they don’t hit very often. Makes me think I’ve just gotten in the wrong subreddits and am wondering if you have any suggestions based of this list.

Some that I’ve read read and liked –

Started but couldn’t finish-
Malazan (book 2. Got a little dark for me),
Lightbringer (book 2),
Lucianius (book 2),
Shogun

I’ve hit quite a few DNF’s in a row so am looking for something to bounce back into
