Recently I read The Vaster Wilds by Lauren Groff, Legends and Lattes by Travis Baldree, Frieren: Beyond Journeys End by Kanehito Yamada, and Welcome to the Hyunam-dong Bookshop by Hwang Boreum.
They are very different books, but felt like ruminations on inner peace, our relationship with ourselves and nature, and were beautifully written.
I reccommend them all, by the way.
I've been anxious recently and want books that have this energy- gritty is OK, but nothing too heavy on death or grief which is triggering for me right now please.
Also please don't reccommend The Alchemist- I've read it and it wasn't my thing.
I want stories about people's lives and how they find meaning, compassion for others, and self-acceptance, purpose, legacy, and happiness.
