My school teacher recently lost her husband to a heart attack and it has been extremely tragic to see her so completely broken. She has been very close to me since my school and I've kept in touch with her even after completing school (it's been 6 years). She is a language teacher and loves reading. We have read and discussed so many books together.
I will soon be moving out of my place for higher education and will perhaps not see her for next whole year. Before leaving, I want to give her a book that would perhaps help her get through her loss and the pain of it. It needn't be directly related to death as such, talking about death/pain of loss in a more abstract or philosophical sense also works.
Please let me know if you have any recommendations in this genre. She is a Marathi teacher – a regional language in India, and It's a plus if your suggestion is a marathi book or has a marathi translation available. It's cool if not as well. Thank you in advance!

Michael Rosen’s Sad Book (by Michael Rosen) is all about grief and is a really beautiful (and sad) read.
“The Last Lecture” maybe? Going to think more.
I’m not the best at recommending books but I think The Midnight Library is a good option
The Year of Magical Thinking by Joan Didon
