So, I recently picked up The Hot Zone by Richard Preston. I saw it mentioned in a post about “the scariest book you ever read”, and it was intriguing. How could a nonfiction book be that scary and not read like a textbook? Well, I’ve been sucked into this book and its terrifying and reads like a work of fiction. I’ve put holds out at my library for Preston’s other books and I hope they are written in the same way.
Can anyone suggest other nonfiction books that read like thrillers? They do not need to be about the same topic as The Hot Zone. But it would be nice if it was sort of thriller-like.

Maybe Tinderbox by Robert W Fieseler
Kill Everything that Moves by Nick Turse, non-fiction about the war in Vietnam; it’s not really written like a thriller like the Hot Zone, but it does have a relentless pace and it’s a great book
The Executioner’s Song by Norman Mailer
Agent Zigzag by Ben Macintyre
