So I’ve read books like The Night Circus and The Lost Bookshop, and want to venture deeper into books with elements of magical realism. What do you recommend? Thank you!
I’m not familiar with those so not sure if it’s similar, but I would recommend Trent Dalton – Boy Swallows Universe. An Australian book, with elements of magical realism and a charming, fun story.

‘The Toymakers’ or ‘Paris by Starlight’ both by Robert Dinsdale. They’re full of really pretty imagery and have that lightly magical element to them. I remember really enjoying both and they don’t get recommended a lot
