Hi! I’m starting to think about a holiday gift for a close friend. She’s a huuuge fan of Taylor Swift and loves contemporary romance novels. However, she’s read more of them than I can keep up with so I’d like to get her something older but that feels contemporary and/or has the sensibility of a Taylor Swift song. Queer characters and straight characters are all equally great! And fantasy/genre/literary fiction is equally of interest. Anything you all can think of is very appreciated, thanks in advance!

The song Tolerate It was inspired by Daphne du Maurier’s novel “Rebecca” but that’s more classic than contemporary. Still I think she might like it
