The Tainted Cup and it’s sequel A Drop of Corruption by Robert Jackson Bennett.
Just absolutely exactly what I wanted from a fantasy series. Great mysteries, great characters, fun action scenes, and just some really good, imaginative world building.

It’s a whodunit in a fantasy novel basically.
