I am a very sensitive being struggling to process and live in a world where there is endless violence, trauma, and people who contribute to it, or ignore it all. As a result I end up trying to control everything perfectly through an ethical lens and end up exhausted when other people who aren’t giving the same kind of energy into it have to be involved (ex: working in a school and trying to do everything 100% well but staff members aren’t as invested).

Recommend me a book on how to manage all this! I just finished reading Trauma Stewardship that scratched the itch but not 100% of what I am looking for.

Resilience: The science of mastering life’s greatest challenges, by Southwick, Charney and DePierro.

It’s an evidence-based book by doctors that discusses different ways in which humans can build resilience to trauma
