I’m looking for books that feature plots surrounding serious and consequential events and decisions, without any super dark content such as SA or suicide. Murder is okay, so long as it’s not graphic or disturbing to read.
I guess I’m looking for a book that takes itself seriously and is mature enough to handle more serious content, but I dont want to feel disturbed, gross, or horrified after reading it. Something I can enjoy and think about after, but not have nightmares about after. Thank you in advance!
