I recently read the entire series and thoroughly enjoyed it. I liked the mystery and conspiracy aspects and slowly discovering why their world is the way it is. I also appreciated the changing perspectives and short chapters as it made me not want to put it down. What would you guys recommend that meet that kind of vibe? Thank you!

Man I was sooooooo disappointed by the Silo series. Really felt like all the cool ideas and stories that the first two books built were just thrown away in the third book. Really felt like the author was just picking ideas out of a hat at the end there. Worse than the last season of LOST.
Anyways… I really like the LUNA book series by IAN MCDONALD. Similar in some ways to Silo, but better in most ways in my opinion.
Another incredible series is THE PASSAGE by Justin Cronin. Different in tone from Silo, but some similarities. Book 1 is awesome. Book 2 is super dark. Book 3 is one of the best final books of any trilogy I’ve ever read. The audiobooks are amazing, narrated by Scott Brick, one of the all time greats. Book 3 is his masterpiece. For real.
I thoroughly enjoyed the Silo series as well. I read that Hugh Howey gave his permission for other authors to write stories in his world so I tried fanfic for the first time. I was not at all disappointed!
Highly recommended:
* Ann Christy’s ‘Silo 49′ series.
* W.J. Davies’ ‘Silo Submerged’ series.
* Jason Gurley’s ‘Greatfall’ series. [This one is a wild ride!]
On my TBR list:
* Carol Davis’ ‘Rebel State’ series.
* Patrice Fitzgerald’s ‘Karma’ series.
Not going to be apples to apples but: Hell Divers series maybe
Check out the ***Wayward Pines*** trilogy by Blake Crouch.
On the surface, it seems like a completely different sort of book. It’s a thriller about a secret service agent investigating a missing persons case in a small Idaho town where everything is too good to be true.
But the deeper you get, the more you’ll find that it has this in spades: *”the mystery and conspiracy aspects and slowly discovering why their world is the way it is.”*
It’s darker, scarier, and more violent than ***Silo***, though.
These audio book series could scratch that itch possibly. All of which I preferred over the Silo series though I did enjoy it as well.
* The ‘Bobiverse’ series by Dennis E Taylor, narrated by Ray Porter
* The ‘Expeditionary Force’ series by Craig Alanson and narrated by RC Bray
* The First Law Trilogy by Joe Abercrombie narrated by Steven Pacey
* The ‘Red Rising’ series by Pierce Brown, narrated by Tim Reynolds.
