Books about ghosts but not necessarily horror

I'm looking for books about ghosts that aren't that much focused on the "ooo scary ghost" aspect but more about the lifes, feelings, deaths, families of said ghosts.

So not just a spooky story, but if it's scary along with interesting I don't mind.

I was raised on the tv show Ghost Whisperer and am a big fan of the series Ghosts (og version) so I'm looking for similar vibes.
