Hello!
As the title suggests I need some recommendations for books for a friend/coworker of mine. I drew her name for secret Santa so I'm looking for a gift to get her but I don't read a lot of thriller genre myself.
She recently got super into the thriller genre by reading Verity by Colleen Hoover. And just bought The Housemaid by Freida McFadden.
She loves shows like true crime, and recently The Beast In Me on Netflix.
She said she liked the twists and the story keeping her on edge. She doesn't have any other thriller novels so the sky is the limit because Verity was her first for the genre.
So what's something similar to the book? Or better? Like a staple in the genre you can't live without. Something toe curling with earth shattering plot twists? Looking for your best or favorite from the genre.
Anything is appreciated 🙂

Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn
Lucy Foley has some great thrillers; The Paris Apartment, The Guest List, The Hunting Party and The Midnight Feast. (They are all stand alones. My favorites are The Paris Apartment and The Guest List)
Jane Harper also has some great thrillers. The Aaron Falk trilogy (The Dry, Force of Nature and Exiles) and her stand alones The Survivors and The Lost Man.
The Lincoln Lawyer by Michael Connelly
Murder on the Orient Express by Agatha Christie. It’s a classic for a reason.
The Silent Patient, Never Lie or The Inmate
Eight Perfect Murders by Peter Swanson.
The Co-worker by Freida McFadden might be an amusing choice in the circumstances.
