Hello I am looking for standalone book recommendations for the mental health unit I work on. I am asking for standalone because it would be just easier then a series especially if the series isn't done, one of the books get damaged or someone is reading the next book in the series. Please note I will be buying these books used and on book outlet and will be buying them slowly so don't hesitate to add book recommendations at any time.
What I am looking for
Any fiction, nonfiction, comic and puzzle type books so long as they are standalone and pg13
No smut at all fade to black only but ideally none is better
Ideally nothing emotionally hard, I want just light hearted fun stuff but I know that won't happen (currently one the favourite author my peeps like is Stephen King)
They have to be in paperback as hardback books are band (paperback hurt less when thrown at people).
Please no religious books we have enough of those already

Callahan’s Crosstime Saloon by Spider Robinson.
It’s a series of short stories that also tell a larger tale.
It’s tremendously appropriate:
“Shared pain is diminished, Shared Joy increased”
A Boy’s Life by Robert McCammon
It deals with a lot of psychological issues, and one character is in a mental breakdown. All that, but it’s also funny, nostalgic, heartwarming (even though I hate that phrase, it fits) and a beautiful book.
