    1. My go-to recommendations for people into sci-fi are Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury and Brave New World by Aldous Huxley. They can be a little dense, so if you want something that takes a little less focus then I recommend Scythe by Neil Shusterman.

    2. I’d have a look at Lisa Jewell for page turning thrillers. Then She Was Gone would be a great place to start.

    3. For a really unique, off-the-rails, sort of urban-fantasy/horror novel that I couldn’t put down, check out the Library at Mount Char by Scott Hawkins.

I also found The Gone World by Tom Sweterlitsch to be quite a page-turner. A fast-paced, twisty, trippy, sci-fi thriller.

Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn was pretty gripping. It’d be especially good if you’ve never seen the film. I had, so was a bit spoiled, but still enjoyed it a fair bit.

You might also enjoy Children of Time by Adrian Tchaikovsky, an epic sci-fi/fantasy novel set in the far future, with great world building, interesting characters, and a compelling sci-fi premise at the core.

If you’re interested in a great dystopian sci-fi/fantasy revenge story/series, check out Red Rising by Pierce Brown. Twisty, action-packed, with great characters and interesting world building.
