Like books that make masculinity or being a man seen appealing. Like something you could show somebody completely demoralized and not very happy about being a man and it would help with those feelings. Not red pill nacho bullshit, but something else. Maybe something that even focuses on aesthetics or something like that. I find it hard to word what I'm really hungry for.

This might not be what you’re looking for as neither is specifically about masculinity per se, but two that come to mind are “Between the world and me” by Ta-Nehisi Coates and “A Heart that Works” by Rob Delaney. While quite different in most respects both books are by men unpacking extremely heavy topics in ways that are vulnerable and real, and anything but macho.
