I've been wanting to a read a book that's quite peculiar and not your usual type of traditional read for a while. Can't seem to find anything like that.
I’ll probably be downvoted, but I genuinely loved Tender is the Flesh by Agustina Bazterrica.
I had no idea what it was and bought it on a whim right before a flight so I’d have something to do. I highly recommend taking my approach and doing zero research , just read it.
Keep in mind, the subject matter is incredibly disturbing and explores cannibalism, slavery, consent, and other highly controversial topics.

Adam levin is great for this. I’m partial to Bubblegum or Mount Chicago.

You could do worse than “At Swim-Two Birds” by Flann O’Brien. An absolute masterpiece in my opinion, with turns of phrase that you won’t find anywhere else, I’d imagine.
