Just joined for this. I need books you would give to a non-reading, absolute narcissist MIL. I am open to any and all ideas. I really want something subtle. So less, "Ten things I hate about you" and more "Chicken Soup for the Adult Child's Soul". (A book that sadly doesn't exist, but should.)

I wouldn’t give someone I hated anything, and it sounds like she wouldn’t read it anyway. I recommend directing your energy towards what you want to cultivate instead. Maybe start by giving your husband Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents by Dr. Lindsay C. Gibson.
Edit: “Adult children” is not used pejoratively here, as you have used it. It just means the advice in the book is for adults (not minors) who have emotionally immature parents.

If you want the worst book I’ve ever read, After by Anna Todd. Tell her it’s a beautiful romance story and watch her suffer.
Everyone in my bookclub hated London Fields by Martin Amis
