I’ve always loved the music of the 60s/70s (thanks, Mom & Dad!) and learning about the significant events that happened during this time. I really enjoyed The Women (about nurses in Vietnam…yes I know a lot of people hate this book), and I think I enjoyed it mostly because of the content. It fascinated me.
Anyways, I am looking for historical fiction about this era, it doesn’t necessarily have to be about Vietnam. Could also be fiction written during that time that reflects the current events.
Any suggestions to scratch that itch?

Hearts in Atlantis – Stephen King
The Things They Carried by Tim O’Brien is lightly fictionalized short stories from Vietnam. It’s very good, but also pretty devastating.
