Hi there,
I am looking for English books/novels (fiction) based on family/domestic emotional abuse, control over everything, invalidation, emotional manipulation, and/or gaslighting.
Not so much bent with physical violence or abuse. Not bent on domestic violence either.
Would like to read something in these lines. How one person creates this aura about any and everything, more in the lines of narcissism.

Matilda by Roald Dahl. It’s a children’s novel but it was published in the 80s so it has more mature themes. The protagonist is a young girl who is neglected by her parents and bullied at her school. There’s two movies adapting this book.
