Please help me find another read with the same kind of relationship and tension as these ones….

The Chrysalids by John Wyndham has ALWAYS been my favourite book. I love it. I've always loved it. The relationship between David and Rosalind somewhat defined me as a kid…and the pre-relationship with David and Sophie nearly as much. That relationship stuff, plus the tension….I loved it.

Looking for more of the same (Chrysalids is so short!) – I did some digging and found Knife of Never Letting Go (and the subsequent books in the series). I think they became my top tier if not second favourite books, for the exact same reasons. Great relationship, great tension….just amazing stuff in my mind.

If anyone can push me towards more like this I'd be thrilled! Thanks so much for your thoughts.
