Suggest me a book about famous shipwrecks (besides the Titanic)

I'm fascinated by maritime history and I'd love to read a well-researched book about other famous shipwrecks. I know about the Titanic, but I'm looking to learn about other tragedies like the Lusitania, the Essex, the Edmund Fitzgerald, or the Wilhelm Gustloff.

I'm open to both nonfiction that explores the history and causes, or even historical fiction that's closely based on a real event.

Can anyone recommend a gripping and informative book about a major shipwreck that isn't the Titanic?
