My daughter has been readying a lot lately, and I’m having trouble finding books. She likes when I pick them out rather than her (I guess because I tend to find newer higher rated books for her age group, which she ends up enjoying).
She likes more recent books (not classics) like ‘Touching Grass’, ‘Old School’, and ‘The Wild Robot’ for example.
She doesn’t really like graphic novels.
Any suggestions?

Might be a bit too old, but when I was here age, I loved John Green’s stuff!
Bud not Buddy, Bridge to Teribethia, Wonder, and Holes are books I distinctly recall loving.
The percy jackson books by Rick riordan
Tamora Pierce’s Song of The Lioness trilogy and the Wild Magic trilogy. I have read them every year for almost 30 years.
My 11 year old daughters lovessssss the Warriors series (about cats) as well as the book Alone which has a sequel.
