Not just in the hiest aspect. But something that is raw, gritty and immersive. I loved the humour and the group banter. I love how dark and hopeful it was. Never gotten a high quite like the first time I read this book. Something that'll put me on the edge of my seat. Something really clever and well written. The latest few "romantasy" books I've read have all been very tropey, unoriginal and badly written. I'd be really grateful for some recommendations 🙂
Books I've loved:
1) Babel- RF kuang
2) Six of crows and crooked kingdom
3) Radiance by Grace Draven
4)daughter of the pirate king duology
5) war cross by Marie lu
6) Lockwood and co by jonathan stroud
7) Crier's war Nina velaris
8) hunger games
Books I really did not like
1) fourth wing
2) silver elite
3) powerless
4) divine rivals
5) lightlark

Six of Crows gave me big [Mistborn](https://app.thestorygraph.com/books/fff4a412-89f6-46ad-b75e-bd21a626e730) vibes when I first read it, so maybe try that!
The Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch. I remember it having a very similar feel. Incredible book that I recommend all the time.
*Edit to add that this is not YA. It’s very much adult fantasy. Also, no romance in book one, if that’s what you were looking for specifically.
