Good morning!
My mother has had a rough year and I’d like to get her a book for Christmas because they pull her out of her head for a while. Though she likes to read, she is not the kind of person who is interested in classics or anything super deep.
She loved ‘Where the Crawdads Sing” to the point she mentioned it to me several times after reading it. She really liked ‘Elvis and Me’ and the Twilight series. Her favorite movies are Hallmark ones.
So thank you in advance if you can provide any suggestions for books that might grab her attention and that she will love.

Honestly, I would look at classic children’s books. A lot of them are written very well, but they are fast reads: the giver, tuck everlasting, the secret garden, the hobbit.
