Can anyone think of any books that capture the essence of say Kill Bill, Charlie's Angels, Sucker Punch, Aeon Flux, ect? Mainly in relation to their action and aesthetics rather than starring strong woman (although I love that vibe lol).
I just feel like NO ONE accurately replicates the genius McG had with CA. Leather-clad Drew Barrymore doing Kung-Fu while The Prodigy plays and somehow doing 30 backflips in a row, THATS what I want. For reference, I do NOT like Marvel stuff, I think the music is meh, the action is clunky, and the one liners are too cringe/cheesy. The CA films did this kind of action perfectly, but I can never find it in books. I like sci-fi and fantasy (especially urban) but I'm open to anything! Thanks, love yallllllll!

Possibly the InCryptid series by Seanan McGuire
Maybe All Systems Red by Martha Wells – the series is action packed. It didn’t share the tone or theme of the films you listed but for fight scenes, yes.
