A Place of Greater Safety by Hillary Mantel is fantastic.
“Citizens” by Simon Schama is a great overarching review of the history of the revolution, although it is written from a very neoconservative perspective. I recommend reading it in conjuction with Georges lefebvre or Albert Soboul to get a sort of “both sides” perspective, the latter two coming from a socialist perspective.
