To forget or temporarily escape trauma

I was involved in a mass casualty event and I am thankfully safe and home but I need some escapism. I like historical fiction, gilded age, social history, etc. I recently have read the books from the British Home Fires series, Britney Spears memoir, Counting the Cost memoir, Convienance Store Woman, etc. I just need some distraction without stories of war and death…
