Books from around the world / favourite book from your country

Hi! I would love to spread my horizons a bit in terms of what I’m reading, i feel like in the last years i have mostly just been reading books from english speaking authors, including most trending books today. I would love to get some recommendations for books from other countries and cultures (maybe by well known authors where they come from, but not internationally acclaimed, like for exemple Murakami) and i’m up for anything, from classics to contemporary, fiction, fantasy, sci-fi. I’d love to hear from redditors that are not american/British, what is your favourite book from your country?
